Nutreal Limited specializes in producing nutritious foods that offer a prudent, healthy and

affordable choice. Nutreal products support the body to cope with the current unbalanced

lifestyles that have led to an alarming increase in the prevalence of diet-related conditions

like overweight, obesity, diabetes, heart diseases and cancer in both adults and children.

Nutreal products are nutritionally balanced thus suitable for people with high nutrient

requirements including rapidly growing children, the malnourished and the sick.

History

Nutreal is a limited liability Company

registered in Uganda in March 2010.

The company was established in a bid

to to transform research findings into

products that address nutrition-related

challenges (under- and over-nutrition)

that coexist in Uganda and other African

nations.

The company is therefore encored in

research and has a strong product

development arm. It was supported

by the Makerere University Food

Technology & Incubation Centre (FTBIC),

along with other companies. The support

was as part of an effort by government and

the University to encourage public-private

partnerships and contribute to growth of

the agro- processing sector while creating

markets for farmers’ agricultural produce.

Nutreal Ltd recently volunteered to ‘hatch’

out of the Incubator to make room for other

companies.

Processing of the snacks is currently done in .

a bakery in the Kyaliwajjala-Namugongo

area (a Kampala City Surburb) while flour

processing is done in a well-equipped facility

in Mukono (a town outside Kampala City).
